About The Outward Mindset

SM_outward-mindset-3d-mockup-right

Unknowingly, too many of us operate from an inward mindset—a narrow-minded focus on self-centered goals and objectives. When faced with personal ineffectiveness or lagging organizational performance, most of us instinctively look for quick-fix behavioral band-aids, not recognizing the underlying mindset at the heart of our most persistent challenges.

The biggest lever for change is not change merely in self belief but a fundamental change in the way people see and regard their connections and obligations to others. Through true stories and simple yet profound guidance and tools, this new edition ofThe Outward Mindset enables individuals and organizations to make the one change that most dramatically improves performance, sparks collaboration, and accelerates innovation—a shift to an outward mindset.

Since its original publication in 2016, The Outward Mindset has become a word-of-mouth phenomenon. This latest installment of the Arbinger Institute’s suite of books, along with Leadership and Self-Deception and The Anatomy of Peace, distills the five decades of research and four decades of real-world application into into actionable frameworks that translate into meaningful change.
